True gastronomes know that quality ingredients are a non-negotiable when it comes to creating spectacular dishes, which is why Chelsea’s Andreas Greengrocers has long been a secret weapon for the likes of Nigella Lawson, Gordon Ramsay and Lady Ruth Rogers (of London’s legendary River Cafe). Having previously operated out of a tiny shop on pretty Cale Street, the family-run greengrocers relaunched this summer in a sprawling space next door – which is fast becoming a haven for food aficionados. Expect prime fruit and vegetables and the finest specialty produce (like cheese, charcuterie, micro-herbs and edible flowers); plus new features including an entire wall of exotic fruit, another with over 30 varieties of tomatoes, and rare international ingredients sourced by Andreas’s daughters, Tilly and Tabby.
