Agretti (Monks Beard)


Historically only sought after to be made in to soda ash as part of glass making, Agretti has now re-earned the appreciation it deserves. A very unusual, salty vegetable that is paired best with fish, lemon and olive oil.

Also called Friars Beard, Agretti is closely related to spinach and shares most of its health benefits, high in calcium, iron and vitamins A, C, and K, It is also an excellent antioxidant.
