Forced Yorkshire Rhubarb

Much is made of the 9 square miles of the “Yorkshire Triangle” and its magnificent “forced Rhubarb” Grown in sheds and picked in candlelight so as not to expose the  sensitive fruit to harsh light.

Its true to say that those of an age like mine used to be less than enamoured when the school lunch pudding was Rhubarb crumble, however now like most “grown ups” I adore it and its fibery goodness.

Our friend Nigella has a great recipe for Rhubarb Crumble which is available here
